BUILDING A NATION THROUGH LITERACY
3rd Annual Conference of the Barbados Association of Reading
The Barbados Association of Reading invites all educators, literacy workers, child care providers and literacy volunteers to participate in its annual conference to be held on Friday, December 11th, 2009 at a venue to be announced.
Literacy professionals from around the Caribbean will converge on Bridgetown to share research findings and discuss solutions to some of the critical issues in the field of literacy today.
The proposed theme of the all day conference is Building a Nation Through Literacy. The sub-themes for the conference will be as follows:
1. Culture and Literacy
2. Health and Literacy
3. Community Literacy
4. Family Literacy
5. Creating Strategic Readers
